Ready Button
A physical button and light confirming a printer's bed is cleared — no trip to the dashboard.
The Ready Button is a small module mounted next to a printer: a press confirms "bed cleared" or "back in rotation" without opening the dashboard, backed by a coloured light showing the printer's state from across the workshop.
What the colours mean
The colour is computed cloud-side from the same fields the dashboard reads, so the light and the screen can never disagree:
- 🔴 Red — quarantined, needs attention before it can print again
- 🔵 Blue — finished, awaiting the bed being cleared
- 🟢 Green — idle and ready, or currently printing
Pressing the button
A press clears both "quarantined" and "awaiting clear" — it doesn't ask which one applies, because that's what a person standing at the machine actually means by "ready."
Pairing
Each module has a fixed short ID, bound to one printer via that printer's settings in the dashboard (Fleet → printer → Ready Button). Power comes from a short cable tapped off the printer's own USB/5V line, so there's no battery to charge or replace.
