Release notes
What changed in the dashboard, the Hub, the bridge agent and the API.
- Dashboard
A calmer dashboard, and your parts on every printer
The dashboard was redrawn to get out of the way while the farm runs.
New
- The overview now opens with one sentence ("4 printing, 2 need you"), followed by what needs you, with the one action that fixes it.
- Each printer shows the part on its bed: the printed share solid, the rest faint, a line at the current layer.
- Files show the slicer's own plate picture, read from your 3MF or gcode. Files uploaded earlier get theirs the first time you open them.
- Navigation moved into a quiet column on the left, with live counts beside Printers and Queue and your farm's connection state at the bottom. On a phone it folds into a menu.
Fixed
- File names with umlauts ("zündungsdeckel") no longer arrive garbled.
- Dashboard
Service and Calibration
Two new pages under Operations: one that tells you when a printer needs maintenance, one that tells you what actually needs calibrating.
New
- Service: a maintenance plan, service log and part history for every printer, starting from manufacturer intervals for 20 printer models. Abrasive materials (carbon fibre, ASA) bring tasks forward, and every interval can be edited.
- A history page per printer: services, part swaps, setup changes and calibrations on one timeline.
- Calibration: 17 procedures with their test values worked out for you. Values measured on one printer are proposed to its identical siblings instead of making you repeat the test.
- Nozzle size and material per tool. Rackrew refuses to route a filled filament through a soft brass nozzle.
Fixed
- A service logged with a past date now uses the printer's counters from that day, not today's.
- Hub firmware0.1.0
The first Hub firmware
The first version that runs on the Rackrew Hub.
New
- Status light behind the logo: it shows at a glance whether the Hub is connected and whether any of its printers needs you.
- A short chime when the Hub boots, and another once it is claimed to your account.
- Hold the button for five seconds to open the Wi-Fi setup network (
Rackrew-Setup) again, for example after changing your router. Your Hub stays in your account.
