About Rackrew

Software for print farms, made by people who run one. Built in Thun, Switzerland.

It started in our own farm

We sell motorcycle parts through our shop Revsticks, and we design and 3D-print many of them ourselves, in our own workshop in Thun. Once several printers were running, most of the work was no longer printing. It was walking from machine to machine: which one is free, is there enough filament on the spool, did the last plate come off, what goes next.

Rackrew is the software we wrote to take that part over. It runs our own farm, and it is the same product you sign up for.

What it does

You upload a file once and say how many you need. Rackrew looks at every printer that can run it and sends the job to one that is free. Before it starts, it compares the grams the job needs with what is left on the spool, and skips a printer whose print would run out.

It works with Bambu Lab printers over Bambu’s own connection and with Klipper printers through Moonraker. A small bridge on your network talks to the printers directly, so prints keep running if your internet drops. Printer passwords and access codes stay on that bridge and never reach our servers.

For your own tools there is an API with keys and signed webhooks. Every change we ship is listed in the release notes.

Who we are

Rackrew is one of three products by Well Earned, a small company in Thun, Switzerland. The same team builds the Revsticks shop and Netzhuus, a website and hosting service for small businesses. We write the software ourselves and run it on our own servers in Switzerland.

Rackrew is free for two printers, with every feature included, so you can try it on a real farm before you pay anything.
